Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery

Hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery consists of surgical procedures to treat cancer and other disorders that affect the liver, bile ducts, gallbladder and pancreas. Surgery is used for the removal of tumours of the liver, gallbladder, bile duct and pancreas. It is also used to treat benign diseases such as cysts, bile duct injuries and strictures (blockage) and portal hypertension.
